NEXCO specifications expansion device new product born! Obtaining NEXCO certification!

New product NEXCO certified | CF-20 | NCF type | 3LII-150 | 3LII-160 |

To adopt our products on the expressway (NEXCO), it is necessary to obtain certification in accordance with NEXCO's guidelines. Our lineup for NEXCO has traditionally included the CF type (expansion amounts of 30, 50, and 80mm) and the 3LII type (expansion amounts of 200, 250, 300, and 350mm). However, there was a gap between 80mm and 200mm, making it difficult to provide good proposals for projects requiring an expansion amount of 100mm. To address this demand, we developed the NCF-100 with an expansion amount of 100mm, and the 3LII-150 and 3LII-160 with expansion amounts of 150mm and 160mm, respectively. Additionally, we developed the CF-20 with a compact design and an expansion amount of 20mm, as well as the NCF type that can handle snow compaction. We are pleased to announce that these new products have received new certification from NEXCO. It is worth noting that the expansion amounts of 150mm and 160mm are close because the order documents may specify those exact expansion amounts. Expandable device [Hybrid Joint] 3LIIA type

[NETIS Registered Product] Supports large expansion (200-600mm) and wide spacing (up to 1230mm). Contributes to the longevity of bridges and reduces lifecycle costs.

The Hybrid Joint 3LIIA type has a vertical integrated structure for the load support and anchor plate sections, making it highly durable and preventing damage from metal fatigue. A fatigue loading test conducted using actual products by a third-party organization confirmed a service life of 100 years, demonstrating durability for 100 years. This 100-year durability aligns with the design service life of bridges. Unlike conventional products that require replacement of expansion devices 3 to 4 times, this product can be used without any replacements, significantly reducing lifecycle costs. By using steel plates vertically, the exposed parts are minimized, resulting in very low impact during operation, and making it less likely to generate noise and vibration. It is a product capable of accommodating large expansion and wide spans, and it is one of the largest products in the category of rubber-based joints (a general term for products other than finger joints and embedded joints). The main differences from the NEXCO specification 3LII type are that the secondary waterproofing material is not standard equipment (but can be installed separately) and that the painting specifications differ. The durability and the waterproof structure of the main body are equivalent to the NEXCO specifications.
